Join Africulture and Carter Farms as we share and receive knowledge, wisdom, reflections and strategies from black farmers around the region to prepare us for the 2023 season. On Saturday April 22, from 11-4, we will have numerous discussions lead by various black farmers and institutions on numerous topics including urban farming, land asset management and transition (heirs property), creating trust/land trust, ethnic vegetable cultivation, microgreens and mushrooms. Moon bounces, kite making and flying, hula hoops, lawn darts, and other children’s agricultural activities will be available, so your young people are most welcome. Lunch will be made available.
On Sunday the 23rd we will visit two thriving black farms and be exposed to their farming practices and principles.
Come out for one or two days. Fellowship with other black farmers and start this season off growing. Registration is required.
